May 10, to be more precise. That's
when the batch of new LEGO Dimensions packs after the
Knight Rider Fun Pack (February 15, exclusive to EB Games in
Australia (BOO!)) and The LEGO Batman Movie Story and Fun
Packs (late March?) is due.
More specifically, this will be

The nice people at the
LEGO Dimensions Twitter feed have posted a picture (that
would be it above) of Hermione and Buckbeak the Hippogriff from
their forthcoming Fun Pack. It's due in March overseas, but goodness

LEGO Batman Movie's release being held back (have we mentioned
how dumb we think that move is...?)
BOXY, BUT NICE?
SCAM ALERT!!! The contents of this box have come to light,
and the LEGO Dimensions item is anything but "exclusive" as
Loot Crate advertise. It's simply one of five original Fun Packs as
released at retail. Thanks to the always reliable Josh at the
monamiibo.com (please check it out) for the heads up.
Here's something that may be worth getting
onto while we wait (and wait and wait) for the delayed Australian
release of The LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack, plus the
Excalibur Batman and Knight Rider Fun Packs. We get them
last in the world, of course, due to distributor Roadshow's decision
to delay the movie's release until the April school holidays (while
they whine vociferously about movie piracy...)

BACK FROM THE FUTURE, OR THE PAST, OR SOMETHING...
It's been a while between updates. Oops.
Anyway, we're still here, and we're still mad about LEGO
Dimensions. Just sometimes life gets in the way of fun.
So, what's new? Well, the character profiles are now completely up
to date (Supergirl has even joined the party), and all abilities are

OK, so we're getting off the Dimensional
track again, but LEGO have just announced that the latest Ideas
release will hit in January. As you've likely discerned from the
image above, it's a set of brick-built Adventure Time
characters. The set will contain 495 pieces, and is numbered 21308.
While we'd have preferred more minifigures, we guess it has a

Crafting your very own world out of LEGO
is great fun, but you need megatonnes of it to really go to town.
Naturally, most of us can't afford such luxuries.
So what to
do? Well, wonder no more, for LEGO Worlds, which has been
in beta for a while now on the PC, is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on

We could rewrite the press release, but
the important stuff is basically within two quotes, so it's cut and

AH McCAIN, YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!
A few years back, Nintendo's Wii U was
home to a pretty natty LEGO exclusive. That was, of course, LEGO
City Undercover, starring future LEGO Dimensions Year
Two addition Chase McCain.
Anyway, great news is that the
kid-friendly Grand Theft Auto homage is being ported to the
PS4, Xbone, PC and forthcoming Nintendo Switch for release by WB
Games at some point during Autumn next year. Yay!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S SNORE!
Just when you thought it was safe to go
back to LEGO Dimensions after the massive download that was
update 1.14, it's time for all the 12GB (PS4) delight of 1.15!
We're not sure what this second massive update in a week does,
but we do know that while we admire their tenacity, the LD
team really have to look at streamlining their update process.
Surely they can come up with more bandwidth-friendly patches?
It's Wave 7 release day - yay! If you're

ET and Tina Goldstein Fun Packs, they are currently at
absolutely crazy (possibly wrong) prices on the official LEGO shop.
Sadly the Big W Adventure Time exclusive Marceline the
Vampire Queen isn't available there - in fact (with thanks to the
Mon Amiibo site for the heads up) it now isn't due until
sometime in December.
Some of the recent Wave

Seriously, if you can wait a couple of weeks then you can get all of
them delivered (and that costs $30!) for a total of just over $80!
Yes, you read that right. Plus you get a free LEGO toy soldier

Hey, did somebody spill some Red Dwarf
in our LEGO Dimensions? Yep, and it's no rumour, for it's
from one of the LD team in Joe Moore, who Tweeted this pic
with the caption "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for brick-fast".
It's apparently a hidden area in the Fantastic Beasts
Story Pack that's out tomorrow. While it would be easy to get

Seriously guys, we don't all have speedy internet, can't you make
these things smaller? Anyway, it's preparing the game for Friday's
release of the new Year Two packs. Yes, only three more sleeps now!
One week. Seven days. 168 hours. 10080
minutes. 604800 seconds... Or close to it. That's when we'll be able
to get our grubby (or clean) mitts on the second wave of Year Two
LEGO Dimensions releases. More specifically, that's the
Fantastic Beasts Story Pack, Sonic the Hedgehog Level
Pack (we SO can't wait for this one!), Gremlins Team Pack
plus the ET, Marceline from Adventure Time and
Tina Goldstein (Fantastic Beasts) Fun Packs. We wish we had
Doc Brown's DeLorean at this juncture. Well, a real working one!
O POINTY HAT, O POINTY, POINTY... It's time for another episode of
Meet the Hero! In this one, magical type Dumbledo- erm,
Gandalf the Grey - introduces us to a new magical type, Newt
Scamander from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He
is, of course, the star of the next Story Pack, which hits next
Friday (November 18) along with a whole bunch of other cool new
LEGO Dimensions stuff.
I CAN DO THAT, I CAN DO THAT...
Have you ever been in the middle of a game of LEGO Dimensions
and had to ponder which character has what abilities for the puzzle

REVIEW: GHOSTBUSTERS STORY PACK
Wondering what our thoughts are on the
first ever LEGO Dimensions Story Pack? Well, our review is
just a click away here!
I'VE SEEN SOME STUFF THAT WOULD REALLY MAKE YOU SAY "LIKE WHAT?!"
Ooo, it's new AdventureMeet the Hero! time!
Marceline introduces us to the Gremlins - the adorbs (but still
hardcore) Gizmo, and the totes nasty Stripe...
THE DLC IS HERE, I CAN SENSE IT...
If you want a quick break from all of your
Dimensioning, a new DLC pack has just hit for LEGO Star Wars:
The Force Awakens.
The First Order Siege of Takodana
Level Pack lets us experience the assault on Maz Kanataĺs castle in
a new way - from the perspective of the First Order. We even get to
go all dark side and play as Kylo Ren - yeah, crush that Resistance!
New playable/unlockable characters and vehicles include: Kylo
Ren, FN-1044 (stormtrooper), Jashco Phurus, Rosser Weno,
Stormtrooper Officer, Strono Tuggs, Thromba, Laparo, Jakku Freighter
(Full-size Vehicle) and the Jakku Freighter (Microfighter Vehicle).
JUST SMILE AND WAVE GIRLS, SMILE AND WAVE!
We've finally had a chance to get all of the Wave 6 LEGO
Dimensions characters added to our 'PROFILES' section -
including their abilities and downloadable instructions for building
all the associated vehicles/accessories. Yay! So, save for Supergirl
we're now completely up to date. Just go to a character's

WE ALL LIVE IN A TUB OF MARGARINE!
OK, it isn't LEGO Dimensions
related. It isn't even LEGO games related. But it's one of the
coolest LEGO sets we've ever seen, it's coming on November 1,
and we're excited!
Yes, it's The Beatles' Yellow Submarine,
based on the fab-ulously trippy 1968 animated movie of the same
name. Not only do you get the seriously groovy sub in the set, but
all four Beatles (who fit neatly inside) and even the 'Nowhere Man',
Jeremy Hillary Boob. The lack of a Blue Meanie seems to be a big
oversight, but we can't have everything.
Anyway, check out
the super-fun animation above to see the set in action. For more
info on the set, includign images, try clicking
right about here.
Meanwhile, we'll keep dreaming about
our idea for LEGO Rock Band Dimensions. Imagine all manner
of famous musical types in playable minifig form! From The Beatles
to Bowie, The Cure's Robert Smith, Lady Gaga, her inspiration
Madonna, Prince, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Oasis' Gallagher brothers,
Damon and co from Blur so the Gallaghers have somebody to fight
with, Queen's Freddie Mercury, Elvis, The Rolling Stones (if they
can make wrinkly LEGO), Alice Cooper, all of New Order and Pixies
(just because!) and... and... and...
WAVE OF CLARIFICATION!
If you're having trouble getting your head around all of these
LEGO Dimensions waves and what types of packs are in them, LEGO
have released a handy info sheet. Just click the little one below to
get a nice big one...
Yep, we know we've been slacker than the slackest of slacky things
getting the Year Two LEGO Dimensions stuff up on the site.
A barrage of paid work has had to take precedence over fun, but
normal transmission should resume shortly. Please do not adjust your
sets and all that stuff.
JUST WHEN YOU
THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO GO BACK TO YOUR CONTROLLER...
Woohoo! Another 10GB (PS4) update - the second in a week! We're so
lucky... But seriously folks, we're not all made of bandwidth, so
hopefully the separate downloads for various packs now will mean
less 10GB mega-updates in future.

it's not THAT great! It is pretty big though, as Year Two of

LEGO Dimensions updates needed to

Speaking for the PS4 side of things, that's over 10GB. Now if you
have speedy internet then yay you. We left it chugging away overnight and, like
Bon Jovi, whoa-oah we're halfway there.
So, if you're
heading out to pick up all the lovely new LEGO Dimensions stuff
today, you may want to set your system updating beforehand...

It looks like they're changing the way the game handles extra world

It seems that lessons about exclusives aren't being learned. All
they do is annoy people.

all available characters and direct links to building instructions
for all vehicle/accessory packs for starters - plus, of course, news
will be updated as regularly as possible.
Rest assured that
the plan is to add a whole lot more - from build-it-yourself LEGO
display cases to an easy reference ability chart (as soon as I can
work out how to actually create such a thing - that stuff's
complicated!) Also, the missing Level Pack reviews will materialise
over the next week or so, purging many of those boring

We were curious as to what that rather
gargantuan new update was for, and now we know that at the very
least it included trophy info for those September 28 packs that will
actually yield trophies.
Not particularly surprisingly, the

- have basically the same trophies as previous Level Packs. Complete
the story, collect a Minikit and smash it up enough to collect
With these snazzy new Story Packs, however,
we'd hoped for a bit more. As the screengrab underneath will show
you though, the first of these, the 2016 Ghostbusters Story
Pack, is just a glorified Level Pack when it comes to trophies,
yielding a measly three bronze ones despite being essentially a full
game. Bummer. :(
OK, it isn't LEGO Dimensions
news, but it is new LEGO game news, and that's always good news!
Actually, it isn't a new game as such, but it's two old ones

we're talking about LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5 to 7.

SUPER, THANKS FOR ASKING?
If you've been all excited about the news
that Supergirl is coming to LEGO Dimensions, this news may
just have an effect upon you much like kryptonite has on our super friends.
Supergirl will be available as a limited edition polybag which will be available for a
limited time come late September, around the same time that the year
two range of LEGO Dimensions sets starts hitting (roll on
good and well, however it will only be available in its limited
capacity when you buy the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, and
then only for the PS4.
So, this is rather crap news for those who have already purchased
LEGO Dimensions, which would be pretty much everybody
reading this. :(
Unfortunately LEGO have a fairly
long-standing habit of shooting fans in the foot with limited things
and even more limited availability of them.
Some of the packs
are out in the wild already and people are paying utterly stupid
prices on eBay. Surely logic would dictate that worst case scenario

MORE TEASE, VICAR?
If the teases from a couple of days ago
weren't enough to get you excited for what's coming (see below),
LEGO have just let loose a heap more on their DimensionsTwitter feed!
Again, for those who may not know all of the characters - after
all, many date back to the 1980s - then here's a quick catch-up
- GREMLINS is a classic '80s flick which will yield
two LEGO Dimensions characters (the graphic designers got
lazy it seems and plopped them both in the one image. The one at
bottom left is Gizmo - the good 'guy' - while the one at the top
right is Stripe, who's the not-so-nice one. They're a strange team,
but they'll appear in a LEGO Dimensions Team Pack this
November. We'd advise you not to get it wet...
(McCain) hails from the (annoyingly) Wii U only videogame LEGO
City Undercover. We've no further info on what he'll be up to
LEGO Dimensions-wise at this time.
ET is from another classic 1980s movie by Se˝or Spielbergo. He's a
scrunchy little brown alien who has a thing for telephones. November
will be a good tiem to track his LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack
down, for that's when it will be available.
- ETHAN HUNT is
the lead spy dude from the Mission: Impossible movies,
meaning you can come out of the closet now, Tom Cruise, for you have
your very own minifig you! It will be available inside a LEGO
Dimensions Level Pack this September.
- HARRY POTTER and
LORD VOLDEMORT (we probably shouldn't mention his name, but LEGO did
so what are we gonna do?) most likely need no introduction. Yes,
they're the characters from JK Rowling's super-successful series of
books that became movies about a wizard school and the contents
thereof - wizards! Curiously, the two will be packed together inside
a LEGO Dimensions Team Pack that's due this September. Hopefully
they don't go and evenesco each other. leaving us with empty boxes.
- NEWT SCAMANDER: Speaking of Ms Rowling, Newt is the lead
character from her book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,
which is due to hit cinemas in movie form (as books are hard to read
in the dark) this November. It's a kind of prequel to the tales of
Harry Potter. The LEGO Dimensions Story Pack is also due in
- FInally, SLOTH. If you don't know who he is then
the tease pic may give you the impression that he's some long lost
DC Comics character. However, those in the know will, erm, know that
he's from yet another classic 1980s movie, The Goonies.
We're guessing that he'll be in a Fun Pack, but our guesses aren't
IT'S NICE TO SAY 'TEASE'...
A whole bunch of preview images of
forthcoming characters have landed via the
LEGO Dimensions Twitter feed - and here they are! They
should need no introduction, but just in case you've got a spot of
head scratching going on...
- SONIC is from SEGA's classic
Mega Drive (aka Genesis) series of incredibly ace (well, in the
early days) Sonic the Hedgehog
games. He will be speeding into our lives this November in a
LEGO Dimensions Level Pack.
- FINN THE HUMAN, JAKE THE DOG and LUMPY SPACE
PRINCESS all hail from the universe of the Cartoon Network's totally
mathematical series Adventure Time (like duh!). Ina
curious move, the LEGO Dimensions Team Pack that's due in
September partners Jake with Lumpy, while Finn goes it alone in a
ABBY YATES is a 21st century style Ghostbuster, from the latest
Ghostbusters movie. She will also star in the very first
LEGO Dimensions Story Pack, which will be available in
- We pity the fool who doesn't know
BA BARACUS, who's a member of The A-Team, a very popular
1980s action TV show that reappeared as a movie in 2010, but without
Mr T. Meh. Anyway, he'll be doing the LEGO Dimensions Fun
Pack thang come September.
- BEAST BOY and RAVEN are two heroes
from the 2003 animated series Teen TItans, which are based
on the DC Comics characters of the same name. Will they be a Team
Pack? Maybe - we're waiting for confirmation.
